A traffic warden in Carmarthen is being investigated for putting a parking ticket on wheelie bin.
The warden has been accused of bizarre behaviour by onlookers who watched the wheelie bin get struck with a penalty notice for being left on double yellow lines.
Carmathenshire council have said there was no ticket inside the wrapper of the charge and described the incident as a light-hearted moment.
The warden's conduct will be looked into.
Carmarthenshire council traffic and safety manager John McEvoy told BBC News: "There was no ticket issued, it is not possible to book a wheelie bin or anything motorised.
"Although this was meant to be a humorous incident, we take this kind of thing very seriously and have launched a formal investigation into the conduct of this officer."
That will teach him for doing something wheelie stupid!
