Dragon Radio is your brand new radio station for the University of South Wales. We were formed by the merger of Tequila Radio (University of Glamorgan) and Radio Noize (University of Wales, Newport) on 18th July 2014.

 

We play a great mix of music, both new and old from some of the world’s biggest artists as well as some up-and-coming ones. Our presenters are USW students of all ages, looking to bring you a wide variety of shows to suit the needs of the whole USW community. We’re be on air 7 days a week live from the Cardiff Campus.

 

Like to know what’s going on around you? Well you’re in luck! Dragon Radio has its very own news team to deliver all the important news bulletins you’ll want to hear. Whether you want national, local or university-based news, Dragon is here for you both on-air and online with all the latest right when it matters.

 

We’ll be working with our contacts all year long to set up all kinds of events, from live music events to club nights, you’ll never be stuck for something to do with Dragon Radio. We’re looking to expand and improve upon the social side of Tequila and Noize, so expect to be hearing about these events very soon.

 

Interested in getting involved? We offer opportunities in presenting, news reading and blogging for any USW student that wants to get involved. This would be a valuable experience, especially to those who will be seeking employment in media and communications in the future. We’re offering the chance to be actively involved in a working radio station, something that would be of interest to a variety of employers.
